Recently another Dan Brown novel in movie form was released by Hollywood, ANGELS AND DEMONS .  While this book and movie is not as blasphemous as the previously released THE DA VINCI CODE , it never-the-less poses a danger to the unprepared Christian, in that it might revive interest in the book and movie, THE DA VINCI CODE .

While Dan Brown claims that his books present factual material in fictional form, they instead present bias and distortions.  For this reason we wrote our newsletter THE DA VINCI CODE DECEPTION available on the website.  We present a unique look at what the church fathers from the first through the fourth century actually believed.  What they believed is far different than what Dan Brown would have us think.  Dan Brown weaves a Gnostic belief system throughout his book, basing his material on what are referred to as the Gnostic Nag Hammadi documents.

We have added an audio and Powerpoint presentation to the website to make you aware of the many distortions in Dan Brown’s book.  The audio portion was presented in church on 19 April 2006, but was cut short due to time constraints.  An explanation of Gnostic beliefs was omitted at the end.  However, the Powerpoint continues where the audio left off, and the newsletter with the complete information is contained on the website, Volume 08, Issue 04, THE DA VINCI CODE DECEPTION, Fall 2004.
